Cookie policy
How we use cookies.
Habibi Lads, a trading name of NADIR COLLECTIVE LTD, uses cookies and similar technologies on habibilads.com to make the site work and to understand how it is used. This policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use and why, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. We serve travellers worldwide, including in the United Kingdom and the European Union and EEA, so our practices follow UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the EU GDPR and ePrivacy rules for visitors in the EU/EEA. Read this alongside our privacy notice.
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit, so the site can recognise your device and remember certain things. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, do related jobs. Most cookies are harmless and simply help a site work; some can hold information that counts as personal data, such as a unique identifier or your IP address.
Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you are visiting, in this case habibilads.com) or third-party (set by an outside service we use, such as our analytics provider). We use both, sparingly, and only as described below.
Your choice comes first.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, we do not set them. We use Google Consent Mode, which keeps analytics and ad storage switched off by default until you choose, so nothing non-essential is set without your consent. You can decline, and the site works exactly the same.
We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. There is no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads remarketing, and no third-party advertising or social-media tracking on this site. We do not build advertising profiles or retarget you elsewhere.
The cookies we use.
We group them into the standard categories used in GDPR-compliant cookie policies.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the site to work. Under the rules they do not require consent, but we still want you to know about them. You cannot switch these off in our banner, though you can block them in your browser (parts of the site may then stop working).
- Your cookie choice. We store whether you accepted or declined in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask on every visit. It stays until you clear it.
- Security. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a cookie to protect the site from abuse and keep it running.
Analytics and performance (only after you accept)
These help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. They are non-essential, so we only set them with your consent. Decline, and your visit is not tracked by our analytics.
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag
Manager. First-party cookies such as
_gaand_ga_…measure visits anonymously: pages viewed, approximate country, device type, and which site you came from. They last up to two years. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you; Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address.
Third-party features (only if you use them)
Some services we rely on may set their own cookies when you use the feature they power.
- Stripe. When you book, payment is handled on Stripe's secure checkout, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention. See Stripe's own cookie policy for detail.
- MailerLite. Powers our newsletter sign-up and may set cookies related to that service.
- Web3Forms. Handles our contact form. It processes your message and does not set tracking cookies.
Managing your cookie preferences.
On this site. You can change your mind at any time using the button below. It re-opens the consent banner so you can accept or decline again.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that was lawfully collected while you had consented; it simply stops further use. A cookie already set may stay in your browser until it expires, but we will not read it, and you can delete it yourself as below.
Through your browser. You can also review, delete, or block cookies in your browser settings, or set it to warn you before a cookie is stored. Blocking all cookies may affect how this and other sites work. The usual paths are:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies
- Safari (Mac): Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Safari (iPhone/iPad): Settings > Apps > Safari > Privacy & Security
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
- Android (Chrome): Settings > Site settings > Cookies
General guidance for all browsers is at allaboutcookies.org. Cookie preferences are specific to each browser and device, so you may need to set them in more than one place. If you clear your cookies and local storage, your saved choice is reset and the banner will appear again.
Cookies and your personal data.
- Consent is our legal basis for any cookie that is not strictly necessary. We set analytics cookies only after you give a clear, affirmative signal (clicking Accept), and you can withdraw that consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- International transfers. Some providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on safeguards approved for UK data transfers, as set out in our privacy notice.
- Your rights. Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected] to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy.
We keep our practices under review and update this policy as needed. If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
